Our evening detox program provides medically supervised withdrawal management with appointments as late as 7:00 PM at both Georgia locations. It exists because the most common reason people delay detox is not doubt about whether they need it — it is that they cannot afford to lose the job.
Why this matters more than it sounds
The barrier is almost never willingness
People assume the hard part of getting someone into detox is convincing them. In our experience it usually is not. By the time somebody calls, they have generally been ready for a while.
What stops them is a schedule. A 2:00 PM appointment means a half day off, every day, for a week or more. That is either a conversation with a manager or a stack of unexplained absences, and for a lot of people either one feels more dangerous than continuing to drink.
A 6:15 PM appointment is just an evening. Nobody notices. Nobody asks. That is the entire difference, and it is why we stay open three hours later than most of the metro.

Hourly and shift workers, contractors, anyone without paid sick leave, anyone whose absence would be noticed and questioned.

School run at one end, bedtime at the other. An evening appointment fits into the gap that already exists rather than creating a new one.
People in licensed professions
Nurses, drivers, tradespeople with certifications. Discretion is not vanity here — it is the license. Nothing is disclosed without your written authorization.
Night and rotating shifts
The 7:00 AM end works for people coming off nights. If your rota moves, appointment times can move with it.
Long commutes
If you are driving in from Canton, Villa Rica or Cartersville, an evening slot avoids doing it twice in a day.
People not ready to tell anyone
You may get there. You do not have to be there to start treatment, and nobody here will push you to disclose before you want to.

We are not going to promise you will breeze through a week of opioid withdrawal between shifts.

Days 1–3
Usually the hardest, and usually worth taking off
For opioids and alcohol especially, the peak is genuinely rough. Most people take two or three days. If you cannot, tell us at assessment and we will plan around it rather than pretend it is fine.

Once the peak passes, check-ins are short. A 6:00 or 6:30 slot on your way home covers it without touching your working day.

Tapers
Benzodiazepines and MAT run for weeks — entirely on evenings
A benzodiazepine taper, a Suboxone or methadone reduction, or ongoing medication-assisted treatment is measured in weeks or months. Almost nobody could take that as leave. These run on evening appointments start to finish.
Confidentiality
What your employer can and cannot be told
Nothing, without your written authorization. Substance use treatment records fall under 42 CFR Part 2 as well as HIPAA, which is a stricter standard than general medical confidentiality — it exists precisely because fear of disclosure keeps people out of treatment.
We do not contact employers. We do not appear on anything that goes to them. If you need documentation for FMLA or a leave request, that is your decision and we will provide only what you authorize.
If you are in a licensed profession and worried about reporting obligations, raise it at assessment. It is a common question and a fair one.

Evening detox, answered
How late are you open?
Both clinics run Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday mornings 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Most detox providers in this metro close between 4:00 and 6:00, which is the whole reason this page exists.
Can I really detox without taking time off work?
For most substances and most people, largely yes. The honest exception is the first two or three days of opioid or alcohol withdrawal, which are rough enough that we will usually tell you to take them. After that, evening appointments carry the rest.
Will my employer be told?
No. Records are protected under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, a stricter confidentiality standard that applies specifically to substance use treatment. Nothing is released without your written authorization.
What if I work nights or rotating shifts?
Say so when you call. Early morning slots from 7:00 AM cover people coming off a night shift, and appointment times can move week to week if your rota does.
Is the evening program different clinically?
No. Same clinicians, same protocols, same medication, same monitoring. Only the appointment time is different.
Can I bring my kids?
It is better if you do not, but we understand it is sometimes that or not coming at all. Tell us when you book so we can plan the appointment around it.
